    Leadership & Life Skills

    Since 2013, AEYL’s Leadership & Life Skills Program has equipped nearly 3,000 teens (ages 14–18) with tools to lead, think critically, and contribute to their communities. Youth gain real-world skills through financial literacy, internships, scholarships, and civic engagement. Backed by partners like the City of McKinney and MISD, the program maintains a 98.5% family satisfaction rate.

    Academic Scholarship

    Since 2021, AEYL’s Academic Scholarship Program has awarded 35 scholarships to graduating high school seniors, helping reduce financial barriers and promote academic excellence as students transition to higher education. Applications open each October and close in February, with reviews by the AEYL board through March.

    Workforce Placement

    Since 2022, AEYL’s Career Exploration and Workforce Development Program has placed 42 high school juniors and seniors in internships, with 17 direct hires in the technology sector and a goal of at least five more hires by the program’s end. The program offers year-round hands-on experience, entrepreneurship skills training, and financial literacy, helping students navigate the job market with confidence. Partnering with businesses like Pearson Vue and the Texas Workforce Commission.

    STEM & SPORTS

    AEYL’s STEM Program introduces 7th through 12th graders to robotics, engineering, and coding, giving students the chance to design, build, and operate new robots annually. Participants compete locally and regionally, culminating in a World Championship where teams from across the globe showcase their skills. The program runs year-round, from preseason in May through championships in February.

    Community Engagement

    Since 2020, AEYL’s Community Engagement Program has served over 1,400 households, providing more than 4,200 childrenwith Thanksgiving meals and distributing Christmas gifts to families in need. Our annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive ensures every family enjoys a warm holiday meal while fostering community unity and connection. Impressively, 81% of new families access additional resources through our drives, and 19% no longer need assistance in following years, reflecting their growing financial stability.
